Duchess of Cambridge Arrived in Hospital for Birth

UPDATE: The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby girl weighing 8lb. 3oz.

The Great Kate Wait may be over! The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital in London on Saturday morning May 2, 2015 and is expected to give birth at any time. According to palace officials, Kate Middleton was admitted around 6:00 a.m. local time, to the Lindo Wing and was accompanied by her husband Prince William.

Their long awaited child will become the younger brother of the couple's first child, Prince George, born July 22, 2013 in the same hospital. According to the royal family, the gender of the expected baby is unknown. However, palace officials did say that they would update Twitter and Instagram when the child is born with information pertaining to its gender, height, and weight.

The excitement over the birth of the second royal baby, sparked tons of trending tweets and what many called "Great Kate Wait"; many remained camped outside of St. Mary's Hospital, where it was said that the royal family sent down breakfast and coffee to those awaiting the birth.
