2016 Rio Olympic Games Shaunae Miller 400 Meter Win

Tonight at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Shaunae Miller won the gold for the 400 meter women's track & field race. However, the way she won is leading to some controversy in the past half hour. Shaunae miller was neck and neck with Allyson Felix near the finish line, with Miller in the lead when close to the win, Felix began to gain on her. Near the finish line, Miller lunged herself forward and threw herself into the finish line taking the win.

Where this controversy begins is in the fact that she threw herself on purpose, it was not a fall or a trip, she deliberately dove for the win, leading many to believe that it's not an ethical win at all. If we're all going to throw ourselves to get a body part before our competitors, what's the point of running upright? We can't decide what's a legal win, but we've brought you the jist of what all the ruckus is about regarding this Bahamas 400 Meter win and our thoughts about it.

These athletes have been training rigorously for many year, for some, all of their lives, all in an effort to give the best the possibly can and win in an honorable and ethical manner. I don't personally believe Miller has done this, it was an under-belt move and if the rest of the competitors had all thrown themselves at the finish line, it would be considered the most unprofessional event in the history of the games, why let it be okay for one competitor? And had she lost, she would be considered desperate and having no sportsmanship.

That's our take on this controversial win.
